Second Fridays at St. David's
Messy Church is a drop-in programme for people of ALL AGES. This alternative form of going to church is intended for children, parents, grandparents, caregivers, and anyone who wishes to embrace Jesus' command to simply "be like the little ones." We spend our time singing, praying, playing, and making simple crafts; embracing the inner-child who dwells inside each and every one of us.
In July 2015 we held our first week long MESSY CHURCH CAMP which was a great success. We now hold an annual Spring Break Messy Church Camp at St. Peters for ages 4-10, with older kids returning to assist younger ones. It runs for one week from 9 a.m. -12:30 p.m. We choose a theme for the camp, inviting visitors to speak, making crafts and art work to take home; singing child-friendly choruses, and having a games time including the now traditional box push, and hide and seek. We end the camp with an appropriate themed field trip. These camps are, each year, growing in size, success, are supported by many of the TSM congregation, and are fast, furious and fun! The theme for 2019 will be "All Are Welcome."
